The Old Cellar (BODRUMI I VJETËR) was founded in 1950 and was a socially owned company. The main activity of the enterprise is the production of wines and spirits. With the privatization of Bodrum in 2006 it continued the same activity as the new private property under the name Old Cellar which operates within the “BODRUMI I VJETËR” SH.P.K. Rahovec. At the time when this enterprise was privatized, it was out of order and was downright so we managed to rebuild and recover in a short period of time by providing it with contemporary technology for receiving and processing grapes and producing wine and raisins according to contemporary standards. The basin was rebuilt in time for the 2006 harvest and with imported equipment from Germany, Italy and France we produced quality wines. Our producing capacity is 6.500.000 liters per year.

Starting from a pneumatic system for grape crushing and its fermentation in inox tanks, where the cooling and heating system is built during the fermentation, we believe that our equipment and our experience are worthy of top quality wine from excellent grapes in our land. A select amount of our red wines are outdated in optimum conditions in oak 225 liters (Barrique).

The Rahovec vineyard area is part of the southern sub-region of the vineyard region of Kosovo and belongs to the most prominent areas of vineyards and vineyards in Kosovo. There is evidence that in this region grapes have been cultivated since Illyrian times, 2000 years ago. The entire vineyard of this area lies on hilly terrain at an altitude of 340 to 600 meters. The moderate Mediterranean climate of the Mediterranean makes this very specific vineyard area and characterizes it as a specialty for the production of grapes and wines of a very high quality, that is, of the highest quality.

Thanks to the ideal agro-ecological conditions, the most perfect technology and the professional staff, the Old Cellar in Rahovec continues to preserve the tradition and produce wines of high quality geographies in accordance with European standards such as: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Vranc from red varieties, white varieties Chardonnay, Riesling Rhine, Italian Riesling and alcoholic beverage pro duction: Brandy of Kosovo, Darda Extra and Darda, always taking into account the tendency to grow pallets with other products.
